BIG BPI AWARDS HAUL FOR BRITS PERFORMERS

Several performers at the forthcoming 2016 BRIT Awards got a BPI Awards boost on today’s update. Coldplay’s ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ goes Double Platinum, bringing it up to the level currently enjoyed by its predecessor ‘Ghost Stories’, while Little Mix (featuring Jason Derulo) score a Silver award for ‘Secret Love Song’, the third single from their ‘Get Weird’ album to be certified. Rihanna adds two titles to her BPI Awards collection, with ‘Work’ (featuring Drake) from her ‘Anti’ album going Silver and ‘Diamonds’ hitting Double Platinum just seven weeks after ‘Only Girl (In The World)’ did so. Justin Bieber’s ‘What Do You Mean’ also joins the Double Platinum ranks – just one week after ‘Sorry’ did – and Adele achieves a magnificent 9x Platinum for her ‘25’ album, making it only the third album released this decade to do so.
