PAUL VAN DYK WILL NOT ATTEND MIAMI MUSIC WEEK
A few weeks ago it was reported that trance legend Paul van Dyk had sustained a concussion and broken vertebrae from falling off the stage at A State of Trance 750 in Utrecht. Since then, a number of van Dyk’s friends have stepped in to cover for his sets while he recovers, including Markus Schulz at EDC Mexico. It has now been announced that van Dyk will miss his Miami Music Week set at Club Space on March 19, with a few album collaborators taking over the stage instead.
Club Space made an official statement this week, notifying patrons that van Dyk will be unable to perform and that artists Aly & Fila, Ben Nicky, Alex M.O.R.P.H., and Kyau & Albert will be behind the decks in his place. All tickets for Paul’s set will be honored, so those that are still planning to attend will be able to. All of the names listed above appeared on van Dyk’s most recent album, The Politics of Dancing 3, so it will undoubtedly still be a night filled with talent that the fans will still enjoy.
