DREAMSCAPE FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES MASSIVE LINEUP
For the last few years Badass Raves has been bringing you biannual festivals at the venue Camp Ramblewood in Maryland. During the fall, halloween weekend holds Nightmare Festival, and during the spring, the first weekend in May holds Dreamscape Festival. Both events are revered on the east coast as down to earth camping events who’s lineups boast some big names, but tend to feature a larger number of small name artists as well. While this is not the conventional style of talent booking for festivals, it does not equate to a smaller amount of talent as some might think. Added to the known names on the lineups are countless local DJ’s from all over the east coast who bring to the table all different kinds of sets that make the festival a destination for attendees. The Dreamscape lineup for this year is no exception, as it is boasting loads of talent for festival goers to enjoy.
Diversity was strong on this years lineup, with genres ranging from heavy dubstep, to techno, to experimental music, and much more. Some of the biggest names on the lineup include: HARD founder and longtime DJ Destructo, Never Say Die OG Must Die, Dirtybird rep Justin Martin, TrapStar Jackal, and Firepower superstar Barely Alive. Some smaller names on the lineup that stuck out were dubstep up and comer Midnight Tyrannosaurs, New-age Experimentalist Space Jesus, Future bass duo Louis The Child, Sound Production legend Au5, and techno act J.Philip. These acts along with many more seem to create the perfect balance between keeping the festival grassroots and small in scale, while still boasting a lineup that’s a huge bang for your buck.
Those who attend Dreamscape love to go and explore the grounds of Camp Ramblewood and get away from reality for a few days. An average day is waking up to the sounds of nature mixed with the sounds of music playing in the distance. You open up your tent, say hello to your neighbors, and breathe in the fresh air that surrounds you. Away from the business of the world, you are free to explore the day however you please. Maybe you wake up and hangout at the camp site for a while. You could walk and introduce yourself to fellow festival goers and meet some new friends. You could head straight to the stages for some early morning music before taking a dip in the pool to cool off. All in all no matter what your experience is this year at Dreamscape, Badass raves did disappoint. Every attendee this year will be able to experience a plethora of great talent and great music.
