ORBITAL HAVE REFORMED FOLLOWING 2012 SPLIT

Orbital have announced that they are set to reform following their second split in 2012.

Brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll have revealed that they will reform for a series of live shows in 2017, with Forbidden Fruit festival, Bluedot and Standon Calling all announced.

The pair have also been back in the studio together, with a rework of ‘Kinetic’ landing tomorrow and a new album in the pipeline. No further details on the latter have been announced.

The Hartnoll brothers split for a second time in 2012 when Paul said in a statement, “Orbital had stopped working properly. We had a great four years since getting back together in 2008, but it was time to move on.”

The British rave institution originally split in 2004.

Speaking about the reformation in a press release, Paul Hartnoll said, “I didn’t speak to Phil for five years after we split in 2012. It was horrible. It’s like a black stain on your heart. You feel terrible and you want to fix it.”
