THE CHAINSMOKERS WALK AWAY BIGGEST WINNERS AT IHEARTRADIO MUSIC AWARDS

The Chainsmokers ran the show this year at the iHeartRadio music awards.

The Chainsmokers were up for 11 nominations (technically 9, since they had two songs in two of the categories) and walked away with five awards, including Best New Artist and all dance-related awards. Comparatively, Drake and Twenty One Pilots won just four apiece.

The Chainsmokers won Dance Song of the Year for “Closer,” which was actually up against their own “Don’t Let Me Down,” as well; they also won Dance Artist of the Year and Dance Album of the Year for their Collage EP.

The Chainsmokers also performed at the event, starting with their song “Paris” and transitioning into “Something Just Like This” as Chris Martin joined them on stage.
