KYGO & ELLIE GOULDING – FIRST TIME

Even though we’re hearing Kygo & Ellie Goulding‘s new song for the “First Time” today, it sounds astonishingly nostalgic and totally relateable.

Kygo reinforces his reputation as one of the hottest producers in the game with this stunning track. But, to be honest, it’s Ellie’s vocals that make it a hit! It’s been a while since the songstress stepped into the EDM spotlight (“I Need Your Love” with Calvin Harris was released in 2013, and “Lights” back in 2011), and we couldn’t be happier to have her back.

Sing along right now — just hit play, and scroll down for “First Time” lyrics!

KYGO & ELLIE GOULDING – FIRST TIME LYRICS

We were lovers for the first time
Running all the red lights
The middle finger was our peace sign, yeah

We were sipping on emotions
Smoking and inhaling every moment
It was reckless and we owned it, yeah, yeah

We were high and we were sober
We were on and we were over
We were young and now I’m older
But, I’d do it all again

Getting drunk on the train track
Way back when we tried our first cigarettes, oh
Ten dollars was a fat stack
I’d do it all again

Bought my jacket and a snapback
Your dad’s black Honda was our Maybach
Re: Stacks on the playback
I’d do it all again

We were lovers on a wild ride
Speeding for the finish line
Coming to the end of our time, yeah

Started off as a wildfire
Burning down the bridges to our empire
Our love was something they could admire, yeah, yeah

We were high and we were sober
We were on and we were over
We were young and now I’m older
But, I’d do it all again

Getting drunk on the train track
Way back when we tried our first cigarettes, oh
Ten dollars was a fat stack
I’d do it all again

Bought my jacket and a snapback
Your dad’s black Honda was our Maybach
Re: Stacks on the playback
I’d do it all again

Disneyland Paris Launching Music Festival Called Electroland

Electroland

The Disney brand is known to be pretty well rounded and partake in most things profitable and suitable for children and families. Now, they are officially entering the music festival game by throwing an EDM Festival called Electroland: Where Music Meets Magic at their Disneyland Paris theme park.

The one-day festival will feature a lineup of Steve Aoki, Nervo, Michael Calfan and RichardOrlinski and will go from 7 p.m. To midnight on Saturday, July 8. Both Calfan and Orlinski are French DJ’s, while Aoki is American while Nervo are from Australia.

The 10,000 person capacity event will take place to celebrate Disneyland Paris’ 25th anniversary and will take place a sectioned off area in the actual park. The Twilight ZoneTower of Terror will serve as the backdrop and will be decked out with mapping projections across the front of it creating a truly magical experience.

Ticket holders will have access to the rides, bars, and restaurants throughout the park from 7 p.m. onward and an upgraded pass gets you access to both Disney parks beginning at 4 p.m.

In the past, Disney’s primary entrance into the world of dance music has been through lawsuits with both Deadmau5 and Tomorrowland. This time around, however, Disney is trying to bring in a positive impact on the community with a brand new event that could potentially make its way to other Disney parks around the world including in Anaheim, Florida and Tokyo.

Electroland

Hopefully, Disney will take advantage of this and sell some Mickey Mouse LED gloves and ears. Get your tickets and find out more information from Disney’s website here and prepare for a brand new show that will surely include tons of fireworks.

It is not all that uncommon for artists to draw inspiration from their peers, but few take a bow before those are considered the genre’s pioneers. Junior Sanchez is one who does. The first of eleven songs that pay homage to flag-bearers such as Armand van Helden, Todd Terry, Daft Punk, Kerri Chandler and more, ‘You, I & The Music’ is a straight-up summer jam. It’s about a man who falls in love and subsequently discovers that love and music is all he needs. Its sound touches the core of the French House sound as introduced by the likes of Daft Punk and Cassius.

DYNA Releases New Track ‘Mercy’

dyna mercy

DYNA – ‘Mercy‘ – DYNA has just dropped his new single ‘Mercy‘ on Epic Amsterdam. Having grown up with a strong passion for music, this creative talent initially gained popularity in the Netherlands with his DJ work, which included setting up his own heavily supported club nights, Sexed Up Ghostriders.

Mercy‘ is a sensual, instantly catchy deep house cut from DYNA and it’s no surprise, with his previous hit ‘Round & Round‘ going triple platinum. The track takes Diana King‘s 1994 smash hit ‘Shy Guy‘ and brings it into 2017 with this ground-breaking style. The song has a gently bobbing, tropical-tinged beat that fits so well against the groove-laden melody, sing-along lyrics and beautiful vocals provided by LA based singer and songwriter duo Lyre.

With his sounds previously described as “booty-shaking,” this couldn’t be truer in the case of the refreshing ‘Mercy.’ Get ready to get down to this superb revival!
