After two incredible sold-out shows at Brooklyn Hangar in February, Tiësto has announced his grand return to the Big Apple. The legend himself will be making his debut at the brand new Governors Island venue this 4th of July holiday. The Grammy-Award winning DJ/producer will be supported by the acts of KSHMR, Cheat Codes and AAZAR to guarantee an incredible celebration. What do you do after gaining worldwide success as a rapper, singer, song writer, record producer/executive, and DJ? If you’re Diplo, you become a model! At 38 years old, the American jack-of-all-trades has signed with Next Model Management, a modeling agency who also works with models like Kate Upton and Anna Cleveland. Why now? He “just always wanted to be a supermodel.” The agency told Women’s Wear Daily that the signing was “inevitable” now that the creative worlds of art, fashion, and music are coming closer together.
With an Instagram page of over 3.6 million followers, Diplo is in some ways a Renaissance man of today’s entertainment world. He has gone from working with M.I.A. on her breakthrough album Paper Planes, to collaborating with other great DJs to make Major Lazer and Jack Ü, along with other innumerable collaborations with big artists like Shakira, No Doubt, and Snoop Dogg, and even working as a producer in Beyonce’s Lemonade album. If that all wasn’t enough, he’s also a beloved father of two and is based in Los Angeles, California.
So be ready to see Diplo on the big billboards, or at least more than you already did.
As avid music streamers, we can’t say we recommend you shelling out the big bucks for SoundcloudGO normally. It offers up some nice features, but with competition from Spotify and Apple Music we can’t say the price is worth it. However, we’re changing our tune today for an important reason. Soundcloud is offering up 3 months of its premium service right now for only $1.
This means none of those annoying adds or 30 second previews. Of course the subscription is set to renew at $9.99 after that, but you can cancel right after you sign up and enjoy your 3 months without worry. You should absolutely GO for it, and you can do so right here.
