Ready the floodgates because DJ Mag has opened polls for the Top 100 DJs 2017 voting. Starting today you can expect an avalanche of promotional videos, contests, singles, mixes, or who knows what else. Besides that you can expect a flood of “too cool” posts from artists talking about how pointless and dumb the entire exercise has become. Love it or hate it, the poll still remains important in determining the booking fee for DJs. So in essence, you are voting to pay more to see the DJs you select.
In truth, public opinion about the Top 100 DJs poll has fallen off even more in recent years as it seems to have become a game of musical chairs. In 2016 your number 1 DJ was Dutch youngster Martin Garrix and before that were Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Hardwell. Will we see a newcomer take the lead this year or another win from a veteran? Head on over and cast your vote at the website here.
