Generation STMPD serves up some more exciting talent on this new release. 18-year-old Swedish newcomer Osrin recently remixed Martin Garrix and David Guetta‘s huge ‘So Far Away‘ in some style, and teaming up with Dutch producer Beau Collins and Tiësto and Sam Feldt collaborator, Bright Sparks has proved to be a master stroke.
This phenomenal collaboration is a perfect piece of pop music — catchy, colourful and bursting with positivity. What sounds like a looped banjo rhythm begins the track before sweet electric piano chords and light finger clicks set the tone. Bright Sparks‘ melancholy vocal is yearning and soulful, and it builds through beautiful melodies in the bridge section as the synths beckon. His soaring chorus is backed by sustained, muted chords before a percussive fill signals the drop and sweet, joyous synths burst into life. The head-nodding beat begins to build with plump kicks, taking the track to the next level. A heavenly final chorus/break lays on summery strummed guitars and provides the icing on the cake.
Once again Garrix and his STMPD RCRDS team have done a fine job of uncovering and supporting these bright new names, and it looks like they all have very exciting futures ahead of them.
