Today, the unstoppable Brighton producer returns to Night Bass with another immensely innovative release, on the ‘Broken Ribs’ EP. Consisting of four-tracks, the project kicks off with the EP title track where Nulight divulges into a very distinct sound whose house undertones set the stage for Nulight to flex with a bounce heavy synth design that invokes the spirit of the entire project. Up next, “U Know” takes things a bit deeper on this late-night stunner whose muted audio effects and roving bass line culminate in a mesmerizing four-minute listen. On “Cynic” Nulight teams up with collaborator Inkline on a bass house track whose sound design feels something akin to the soundtrack of a souped up sci-fi thriller. Closing out the EP, Nulight invites collaborator Stranger into the mix on “Floor Burner,” an adrenaline rush single whose robust melodies mix everything from chopped and screwed vocal cuts to head-bopping breakdowns on a crisp production. If unfamiliar with Nulight before now, the producer is renowned for a series of original productions and collaborations with scene heavyweights such as My Nu Leng, AC Slater, Chris Lorenzo, Cause & Affect and Low Steppa. As one of the most in-demand remixers in his scene from both major labels and indie’s alike, Taiki has remixed the likes of Netsky, Zeds Dead, Destructo, Shift K3Y and Keys N Krates to name a few. In addition, Nulight has been invited to perform around the globe at leading festivals including BoomTown, Electric Forrest, Forbidden Wonderland, Pacha, as well as tours in Australia, Japan and a continually busy diary across Europe playing at iconic clubs such as Fabric and Ministry of Sound.
