Off the back of her show-stopping performance at New York’s ‘Pride Fest’ last weekend, Emergency Tiara announces the release of her brand new single ‘Oh Mama Dear’ on July 6.

Showcasing her signature, vintage-inspired sound, the single is an instant feel-good classic. With the addition of darkened lyrics containing topics of family and hurt it makes for a perfect contrast to it’s poppy musicality as it sits alongside a black and white video of her live performance.

Emergency Tiara says: “When I got engaged to my boyfriend, my mother was fully against my relationship, which was devastating. I know she only wanted what was best for me, but she couldn’t understand how happy he made me feel. She finally came around a year later, just in time for our wedding but it reminded me how much it hurts to not be understood by the people closest to you in life.”

NYC’s pop princess, Emergency Tiara, is the artist that you need to get to know. Fronted by Juri, the lead singer, queen, curator and ringleader extraordinaire to the Emergency Tiara kingdom. In Juri’s kingdom, everyone can feel like royalty in an instant – through her unique and intriguing pop sounds, ranging from sultry soul to rampaging swing anthems – taking in everything from French noir to J-Pop in between.

Juri was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Classically trained in voice and piano, Juri is driven by the power of music to uplift audiences, having developed her love of singing through early performances with the likes of leading performers including: Japanese classical vocalist, Ken Nishikiori, on La Damnation de Faust, conducted by Seiji Ozawa (now musical director of Vienna State Opera).

Juri has worked with artists and industry icons such as Tata Vega, Raheem DeVaughn, Bootsy Collins, Dontae Winslow and Valerie Simpson.
