Hold tight, because Tauten’s 50th release is here! For this occasion the label is having lovely Rebeca Ark with the mighty Impetuous EP, and Tauten is as excited about adding a new member to our crew as it is amazed with the sound of this release. An original and two superb remixes will shake you up. Gonçalo and TKNO remaked the original and made this EP compete and ready to go!
Impetuous, the original, is a heavy uplifter. Just the kind of techno you need these days to have that “boom” moment at the floor. Intense percussions, strong stabs, pumping beat and smooth flying vocal lines… What a combo here, it could go for days. But pay attention to those lovely pads that place everything where it needs to be put.
From Ibiza with love, Gonçalo brings his remix right on the spot. Kinda slower adaptation but those percussions… Such a powerful track, so much energy here. It’s very recognizable as a Impetuous remix but it is a very nice adaptation, made it perfect for tension rising.
Last but not least, TKNO remix. The label’s boss, as usual, added a small amount of roughness and made this release suitable for all set times, weather it’s a warm up, peak time or the closing set, you’ll find the right weapons in here. Strong kick drums, vocal samples slightly optimized and those distorted stabs turned into rhythmical elements. Unexpected break does it’s job really nice.
