For the remix album, The Funk Hunters selected their remixers with special care in order to create a diverse and sonically well-rounded body of work. Ranging from the disco treatment of “Party Rockin” by legendary dutch trio Kraak and Smaak, to a dubstep remix of “Come My Way” from hot up-and-comer Buku to appease the bass heads, TYPECAST REMIXED leaves nearly no genre unexplored. The remix LP is an international affair as well, tapping artists like Denver’s Maddy O’Neal, Los Angeles’ Stylust, and the UK’s jackLNDN,  just to name a few. TYPECAST REMIXED finds a place in any venue, from dimly lit warehouse raves to massive festival stages, the world over.

The Funk Hunters have cultivated an unmistakable signature sound – forward-thinking electronic music influenced by old school soul, funk, and hip-hop. In the past year the Vancouver-based duo have won Electronic/Dance Artist of the Year at the prestigious Western Canadian Music Awards, and reached #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Chart with an official remix of U2’s “Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way.” To date, their music has also amassed over 10 million track streams across their catalog of remixes and collaborations, including other official remixes for Imagine Dragons, Selena Gomez, Big Gigantic, and Gramatik.
