Yesterday, acclaimed actor, singer, and artist Drake Bell releases the official video for his Latin-inspired single “Fuego Lento” via innovative content platform Vydia. Watch the video here:
Over a decade has passed since his roles as Drake Parker on the hit Nickelodeon series Drake and Josh and the voice of Peter Parker on The Ultimate Spiderman, but Drake Bell shows no signs of burning out. These days, the 32-year old is focusing on his music career, taking it in a new, unexpected direction.
His latest work is a stark contrast from his 2014 rockabilly-style album Ready Steady Go! and his 2017 dance-inspired EP, Honest. Now, Bell explores hip-hop and Latin sounds, even rapping in Spanish on his latest single, “Fuego Lento,” a song he tributes to his Latin fan base. The track follows last year’s collaboration with Lil Mama, “Call Me When You’re Lonely” and the fiery single “First Thing in the Morning.”
In the new video, Bell is seen meandering the colorful streets of Mexico City, interacting with different people in the city’s fresh everyday environment. Bell visits Mexico often, connecting with fans and learning the language.
“I have to sing in Spanish for the fans… It’s been too long — they’ve been so loyal to me, and I haven’t given them anything in their language.” he tells Billboard.
