‘Free Me’ has been well received by media and fan alike with multiple spins on triple j’s Friday Night Shuffle and features with Project U and Acid Stag. ‘Free Me’ is the first single from HI MOTIVE for 2020, following a stellar 2019 with their debut release ‘Falling’ reaching #1 on the Triple J Unearthed Electronic Charts and their most recent single ‘Gone’ played on triple j’s Friday Night Shuffle after premiering with Pilerats.

Based in Inner Sydney now, HI MOTIVE’s Matt and Ed first began writing music together in their dorm room at UNSW in 2014. With Ed hailing from Tasmania and Matt from Queensland, the pair found their common love of music and haven’t looked back, forming a band together before discovering electronic music.

Since forming in 2019, HI MOTIVE have been performing and developing their electronic live show. After performing at Electronic Music Conference in December (EMC) the duo signed with NICHE’s Jess Wust for bookings, going on to support BOO SEEKA in Ulladulla on their 2019 Indo Summer Series Tour.

Dive into this live delight from HI MOTIVE and keep an eye out as they build towards their debut EP release in late 2020.
