“Horizon”reflects that we all should see the things beyond their actual context. When I produced this EP, I pushed my own boundaries : I tried new things beyond my original style, beyond my comfort zone. “
French producer Koos surprises us with a new side of himself with his latest EP, Horizon. Stepping out of his comfort zone, with the second single Bad Lie, Koos pleads us to have a more positive outlook on the future as he helps us escape the ongoing pandemic for just a few minutes.
The Tchami protégé has become an important producer in the Bass House world. Just last year, he successfully collaborated with Malaa on Hell, receiving immense support from DSPs and radio playlists. Koos takes advantage of the temporary disappearances of clubs and festivals to experiment with his production talents, bringing his compositions closer to his early French House influences such as Daft Punk, Justice and Gesaffelstein.
The production of Horizon started with first single Close, a collaboration with Miel that took only a few hours, and gave the producer the confidence and inspiration for the rest of the EP.
In Bad Lie, we quickly travel with the airy feel of the House record, infatuated by the hooky vocal sample, driven by the energetic kick of the beat and the synth-powered drop, across the horizon.
