FOREVER YOUNG CREATES THE FUTURE OF THEATRE

Amsterdam, 2 July 2021- This autumn, Fourmation Entertainment presents its groundbreaking theatre production, combining Don Diablo’s genre-bending music and inspiring storytelling in an interactive and high-tech theatre experience. From the dance floor, the audience will experience the intense love story of superstar Liam Nova and his talented childhood sweetheart Julia, as they grapple with the darker side of fame and the impact of social media. In November, Fourmation Entertainment will stage the first previews of this spectacular theatre production at a secret location in Amsterdam. Only a limited number of tickets will be available – the general public will be able to see Forever Young in 2022.
This futuristic cross-over has been developed by a top creative team that includes director of music Don Pepijn Schipper (Don Diablo), Broadway and West-End star Anthony van Laast and creative director Timor Steffens. The show and its scenario are the brainchild of theatre impresario and creative producer Sjoerd van Schooten. Writer and trendwatcher Mabel Nummerdor also co-wrote the scenario.
Don Pepijn Schipper (Don Diablo): ‘The story of Forever Young is very close to my heart. As an artist I’ve had years of experience with the lighter and darker sides of the modern age. We now live in a time where everything seems possible,but these endless possibilities also come with the price of constant pressure. The digital revolution offers plenty of opportunities, but also an equal amount of challenges. Mental health is an important theme and something we all need to continue to work on. Together. Forever Young is a next-generation love story presented in a one-of-its-kind futuristic theatre show. Our aim is not only to appeal to the audience’s mind but also to hit them in that special place in their heart.’
Timor Steffens: ‘In Forever Young, there’s no dividing line between the audience and the cast, which makes it a real creative challenge. With dancers from different disciplines and in various roles, two talented main players and the audience as an ensemble: that’s how we create our story. The technology, audio, video and special effects add the final touches to this interactive spectacle This show really moves us on to the next level and I simply can’t wait to take our audience on this visual journey, make them think and get them moving.’

In Forever Young, the storytelling gets to grips with an urgent theme faced by young people worldwide: the issue of mental health. In it, we follow superstar Liam Nova, whose route to personal success causes him to become increasingly alienated from himself and those around him, including his talented childhood sweetheart Julia. This is a story that connects people and offers hope for the future. The actors playing the leading roles of Liam and Julia will be announced at a later stage.
