Diplo Invests In Arizona United Soccer Club, Earns Board of Directors Seat
Electronic dance music superstar, Diplo, has been the driving force behind an allied team of fellow artists and music executives who have recently made an investment in the newly conglomerated,Arizona United Soccer Club.
The team which was founded in 2014, announced yesterday that the producer and DJ, alongside his team of experts, has made a financial investment in the affiliation. By way of a minority equity stake sponsorship, Diplo and associates were reciprocated with a seat on Arizona United’s directive board. Diplo told Arizona United Soccer Club,
“I’VE BEEN REALLY FORTUNATE TO TRAVEL ALL OVER THE WORLD AND EXPERIENCE DIFFERENT CULTURES THROUGH MUSIC. WHEREVER I AM, JAMAICA, SPAIN, ENGLAND, CHINA, ETC., SOCCER IS A SOCIAL CONSTANT,” SAID DIPLO. “I WANTED TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO GET INVOLVED WITH THE GAME AND TEAM SPORTS SO WHEN ARIZONA UNITED PRESENTED ITSELF, I IMMEDIATELY JUMPED AT THE OPPORTUNITY. I SEE SOCCER THE SAME WAY I SEE MUSIC, AS A CONNECTIVE TISSUE LINKING THE WORLD’S CULTURES”.
Arizona United Soccer Club responded enthusiastically about their partnership with Diplo,
