117 was inspired by some really dark times during 2020, as well as the renewed sense of self Ezra felt after finding his way out from that darkness. After COVID derailed both plans to move to Los Angeles and for the music he had been making up to that point, Ezra felt like giving up and burrowed himself into a cocoon of loneliness and self-pity. But when he emerged from it all, he had this EP in hand.
