Electro-pop artist LUIANNA celebrates what it means to be a woman on new single Witch, out now.
Taken from her upcoming debut EP Skiá, Witch is a charmingly idiosyncratic song that is a subtle homage to women from the past who were burnt at the steak for their unique and ‘magical’ differences. The single is oozing with wonderfully wonky synths from the offset, complimenting LUIANNA’s soft, celestial vocals effortlessly. LUIANNA elaborates, “this is a personal song about facing past trauma but also a shout out to how awesome us girls are!”.
LUIANNA – aka Jasmine Luianna Emslie – was born in London, brought up in South Wales and has since spent the past fifteen years between Bristol and Berlin. Her upcoming EP was recorded in The Famous Gold Watch Studio in Berlin. LUIANNA has previously received support from the likes of With Guitars, Killing Moon and CLOUT to name a few. With Skiá, LUIANNA hopes to captivate listeners further with her unique blend of intimate alt-pop.
