Moglii shines with eclectic electro-pop bop ‘Push Me’ ft Panama

Shines on eclectic electro-pop bop ‘Push Me’ ft Panama

Cologne based producer / singer / composer Moglii (Simon Ebener-Holscher) shines on new eclectic electro-pop number ‘Push Me’ featuring talented Australian electronic artist Panama (Jarrah McCleary), following on from his recent acclaimed tracks, ‘Skoda’ ft LissA’ and ‘Face 2 Face’ with Joel from Lion Sphere.

Moglii says: “We actually just came about each other via Email. I’m living in Cologne, he is living in LA. so we had to bring this project together from a distance. I remember that I was texting Jarrah (Panama) via Instagram the first time. He answered immediately so we started a collaboration soon after. It turned out, that it was really a match in regards to taste and the musical vision for that project.”

He goes on to add|: “‘Push me’ is quite an emotional song for me. It tells the story of a sensation of rejection and is an acute expression of faintness with all it’s deep emotional components. It talks about intimate feelings in a relationship that is characterised as complicated, cold-hearted but intense at the same time. Crying out for acceptance seems to be the only way of recovering the love you once felt.”

A classically trained jazz pianist whose characteristic production style comes from the mix of warm beats, analogue synthesisers and soulful vocal samples; Moglii complements his modern electronic compositions with acoustic instruments and an organic sound design comprising of samples he created himself and these together give birth to futuristic pop music. His music is influenced by Mura Masa, James Blake, Bon Iver and Flume.

Lauded by tastemaker press and peers alike, Moglii’s debut solo EP ‘Naboo’ amassed over 30 million streams globally and was described by Complex Magazine as ‘filled with spontaneity and charm’. Moglii made his indelible debut on the scene with a spirited performance with fellow Berlin artist Novaa on COLORS and traversed the globe showcasing his very own ‘organic electronic’ sound live alongside San Holo, Roosevelt, Elderbrook and festivals including The Great Escape, Dockville Festival and Reeperbahn Festival.

‘Push Me’ ft Panama is due on 11th December through Humming Records.
