Lost Frequencies – Tomorrowland 2017 – As Tomorrowland‘s Amicorum Spectaculum opened its gates to record-breaking crowds for its inaugural weekend of 2017, not only did the insane production that the festival has become known to dazzle for, wow crowds beyond belief, but a whole host of electronic music royalty also descended onto the regal town of Boom. From track premieres, special edits saved just for the fields of Tomorrow, as well as multi-faceted mash-ups, the chart-topping, platinum artist Lost Frequencies seemed to capture the attention of those on-site like no other.
Hosting his own Lost Frequencies & Friends stage allowed the producer to perform amongst a cherry-picked bill of top-tier artists including Axwell, Fatboy Slim and Sigala, that also led to an official festival road-block as the arena became so packed, before his mainstage set that directly followed after David Guetta on the Sunday of the event in a prime-time slot, became one of the most talked-about solo sets of the year from the Belgian prodigy himself.
Now, presenting one of his only official live sets available online after his hugely well-received Less Is More Lotto Arena Show, Lost Frequencies presents a shimmering main stage live set that only further cements his status as a wonderkid for the next generation of music makers. Merging together bombastic bass, melodic flutters of self-proclaimed “indie dance” and stadium-worthy electro, Lost Frequencies dazzled during his third year at Tomorrowland, proving to only get better with age and maturing his sound, yet still retaining an injection of fun and feel-good vibes.
After giving his fans a taste of what to look out for two weeks ago through new single ‘Here With You’, Lost Frequencies has now emerged with the present they so eagerly anticipated. Thedeluxe version of the Belgian superstar’s debut album, ‘Less Is More’, is out on Amsterdam-based record label Armada Music.
Through each of its seventeen tracks, ‘Less Is More (Deluxe)’ shows the full extent of Lost Frequencies’ ability to reinvent his music. The album not only features his latest gem (‘Here With You’ with Belgian comrade Netsky), but also spotlights alternate versions of each of the sixteen singles comprising the original body of work, such as top hits ‘Are You With Me’, ‘Reality’ and ‘Beautiful Life’. Additionally, all of these new renditions are to spruce up the dozens of shows that fill out Lost Frequencies’ packed summer season tour schedule.
Since the very start in 2014, Lost Frequencies has risen through the electronic music ranks at breakneck speed. With ‘Are You With Me’ and ‘Reality’, his first and second single, he hit gold, platinum and double platinum in over a dozen countries, topped some of the world’s most esteemed charts – such as the UK Singles chart – and racked up around a billion streams with those two singles alone.
Never one to slow down, he piled on the success with records such as ‘Beautiful Life’, ‘What Is Love 2016’ and ‘All Or Nothing’, all of which are sterling examples of the Belgian DJ/producer’s knack for crafting up super-popular records and summer anthems alike. With ‘Less Is More (Deluxe)’, he proves once again that his full-throttle rise to stardom hasn’t slowed down even the smallest of bits.
Lost Frequencies – ‘Here With You‘ – With his new single and first DJ collaboration called ‘Here With You,’ Lost Frequencies wanted to step into another dimension and work with none other than Belgian Drum & Bass legend Netsky. As soon as they stepped into the studio, both Lost Frequencies and Netsky kicked off this collaboration with great vibes, exchanging their own visions of combining deep house with drum and bass for a uniquely exciting take.
‘Here With You‘ is a fresh mix of Lost Frequencies‘ signature guitar sounds and Netsky‘s bass power, guided by the heartfelt vocals of Amy Yon. Being live premiered at Lost Frequencies‘ epic debut headline arena show Less Is More, be here with Lost Frequencies and Netsky and listen to the track on Spotify now.
Lost Frequencies – Less Is More Liveset – After a string of multi-platinum, #1 singles and sensational international ascent, Lost Frequencies has wowed at events including Tomorrowland, Coachella, Lollapalooza and more. With a Vitamin D-drenched sound that also took him on tour with The Chainsmokers across their epic run of USA arena dates earlier this month, Lost Frequencies really ignites a spark when given the creative freedom of a headline show; none proving more epic than his sold-out Lotto Arena show in Belgium.
Wanting to provide an exclusive setting for his fans with an insane show production, manager and creative Nick Royaards and the Tomorrowland team enlisted laser arrays and LED bars to entrance and add another visual dimension for the audience, bringing the show to life with a minimal aesthetic that allowed the music to take centre stage. In bringing a mix of the underground with sure-fire hits and this unique production, Less Is More was an intimate spectacle.
From the modern classic status of ‘Are You With Me,’ to an eclectic edit of ‘All Or Nothing‘ to open the show, Lost also took us on a journey of House classics, big-room bangers and previews of new material. Joined by a host of live vocalists and collaborators, Lost Frequency also revealed his new collaboration with drum n bass connoisseur Netsky, a dubstep-leaning track perfect for the Summer months, guitar lines and an ethereal vocal flowing throughout to merge both artists unique flair, as ‘Here With You‘ gets set to light up the speakers June 30th via Armada.
