Aiza, the Toronto based, Montreal-born Afrobop queen who has released a string of rhythmic pop bangers this year is sharing “Alright,” a catchy and deeply positive assurance to herself that “no matter the hurdles and the crazy detours, I will always end up exactly where I need to be.”
Confident and understated, “Alright” is set atop a subtle bass groove and rhythms which blossom into the song’s highly melodic chorus. Aiza dips into her Montreal roots throughout the bridge, affirming that “Tout est beau, tout est bien bien.”

Written with Chris LaRocca and Herag Sanbalian, “Alright” was the first song that Aiza wrote in 2020, two months before the pandemic hit. She remembers telling her co-writers that “I want to write about how I want to feel. Let’s manifest some good sh*t this year!”
The lyrics poured out of me and we left the session feeling energized and excited. Little did we know what we were about to go through as a collective. This bop feels like a message in a bottle from my future self. It’s one of my favourite songs on the album for sure.
