Today, Toronto’s rising artist AJA (Aja Neinstein) shares the accompanying visualiser for her stellar new single ‘Love At First Song’. Sharing visuals from her life in music, the defiant offering comes as an intoxicating slice of passionate pop that really packs a punch.
Written as a testament to her love of music, AJA’s songwriting touches on the integral part music plays in her life. Written in collaboration with Jimmy McGorman (Avril Lavinge, Gwen Stefani, Goo Goo Dolls) and two-time grammy award winning songwriter Will Champlin, Love At First Song looks to be AJA’s biggest moment yet.
Sharing a little more, AJA explained: When we wrote Love At First Song, I wasn’t in the mood to write about feeling empowered or writing about being irritated with a boy or girl drama, I just wanted to write about something I loved and this was an easy topic for me.
I love how certain songs can make you feel something. It can take you on a journey of emotions. It can make you cry, lift you up when you are sad or make you feel like a badass even if you weren’t necessarily feeling that way before the music came on. “
The 17-year-old has been turning heads since she launched at the start of the pandemic. Rolling with the punches of a long lockdown, AJA’s made waves, managing to impress globally with her stand-out vocals and established songwriting. As well as already racking up millions of streams, a Top 5 single and being coined the iHeartRadio Future Star for her smash single “Red Button,” the fledgling artist has scooped early support from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, SPIN, Billboard, LADYGUNN, American Songwriter, Complex, Wonderland, Dork and Flaunt.
Sat on a wealth of chart threatening alt-pop belters, this impressive new artist is certainly one to keep all eyes on.
