Now he’s teamed up with longtime friend Tommy Genesis, who pioneered the fetish rap genre with hits like “Angelina” which would go on to be sampled by Lana Del Rey on her hit record “Peppers.”

Together they’ve created a record that’s “not a club record, but a ‘party record’” in their own words, eschewing the velvet ropes and bottle service for true fun. ‘Slip & Slide’ by Alex Chapman and Tommy Genesis is out now via Ultra Records.

Following sets like Boiler Rooms for Charli xcx’s BRAT album, Dior, Moschino, and Spotify, as well as chart-topping hits like Kim Petras’ viral anthem “Horsey” and Troye Sivan’s Grammy-nominated track “Rush,” it’s evident that Chapman has established himself as a cultural catalyst.

In parallel, Tommy Genesis stands as a global icon of rebellion, fluidity, and unapologetic expression, boasting 500M+ global streams across platforms and collaborations with the likes of Charli xcx, who was featured on a remix of Tommy’s “100 Bad.”

“There are no rules to art,” says Tommy Genesis. “There are no rules to creation, and there are so many exemptions.”

Blending high fashion, underground internet culture, and unfiltered lyricism into a genre-defying body of work is why Tommy Genesis is celebrated as a permanent fixture in both underground and major dancefloors.

Embedded as a mainstay in the nightlife scene, Alex Chapman hosts the premiere party “GAG” alongside Zoe Gitter, which has boasted special DJ sets from icons like Trixie Mattel and has been shown support from the likes of Kim Petras, Dorian Electra, and Ashnikko. Paper Magazine proclaims GAG as “your fave pop stars fave LA party.” The GAG party is rapidly expanding across the US with upcoming parties in April taking place in Los Angeles, Miami, and Chicago, coinciding alongside his and Tommy’s ‘Slip & Slide’ release – out now via Ultra Records.
