Alt-rock riser Kenny Baquol unveils darkly emotive new single ‘Ruins’

A meteor shower of unhinged space rock rains down on Kenny Baquol’s introspective world. Pulling influence ranging from experimental rock pioneers such as Pink Floyd and Ozric Tentacles to straightforward hard rock icons such as AC/DC and Van Halen, the Maryland-based multi-instrumentalist combines isolation and heartbreak in a calculated but chaotically-wrapped package topped with a tiny bow of prog elements.

Now, with great anticipation, he unveils his latest opus, ‘Ruins’. In a collaboration with fellow musician and bassist Holly Sanicola, this new release emerges as a dark and anthemic alt-rock track, resonating with its listeners.

When asked about the meaning behind the track, Kenny shared, “It serves as a call to action, urging us to step up and strive for greatness. It encourages us to rise above mediocrity and the status quo. It inspires us to fearlessly pour our hearts into our dreams and passions in life, unbound by any limitations.”

With his music, Kenny fearlessly ventures into the vast expanse of his thoughts, grappling with a diverse range of issues and delving into his life experiences. Through his lyrics and melodies, Kenny invites his audience to join him on this introspective journey, where he unearths the depths of his soul and sheds light on the complexities of the human experience. From the peaks of elation to the depths of despair,he confronts the full spectrum of his being, inviting listeners to connect and resonate with his authentic and heartfelt expressions.
