Ripe with an impassioned topline, “Flowers” is the soundtrack to the struggle of needing to move on from a love that has been uprooted. Luma’s silky vocals saunter over wistful guitar licks and melancholic pads, producing a reflective, heartfelt introduction. The lyrics focus on the inherent power that comes from resisting the urge to reach out to an ex, and the freedom that arises from fighting through the pain. As she finds her footing, the production builds masterfully, creating a sense of strength that supplements the words. The newfound intensity sails into a swinging, fervent drop imbued with an energetic rocktronic edge. The uplifting tones are interspersed with residual pain and waves of hopefulness, painting a picture of a better tomorrow. The melancholic chords and whispered vocal tones provide a touching outro that reinforces the notion that time itself can heal all things.

ARAYA quotes English poet Walter Savage Landor to introduce the single: “Music is God’s gift to man, the only art of Heaven given to earth, the only art of earth we take to Heaven.”

Luma explains how the collaboration evolved, saying, “When I wrote ‘Flowers,’ it was a totally different vibe than how it sounds now. ARAYA completely elevated the song and brought the story I had in my head fully to life. For the ones who’ve grown: I hope you love it!”
