ABOUT ARCHIE:
At the age of 2 ½, while strolling down Buchanan St in Glasgow, Archie’s musical journey began. Captivated by a woman busking with an accordion, he declared to his mum that he would become a musician. Little did he know, this moment would set the stage for a lifelong passion that would see him evolve into a singer, songwriter, and musician.
Archie’s early musical endeavours were diverse. Learning the guitar and piano from the age of 5, he explored the realms of pop and rock. A move to Asia, a year later, marked the beginning of his stage performances, with renditions of iconic hits like “We Will Rock You” and Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite.” These experiences ignited his love for the spotlight and the transformative power of music. Returning to Glasgow, aged 10, Archie pursued his dream at the National Music School and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, honing his skills in piano, voice, and guitar. Despite memorable moments, such as performing at the Albert Hall and appearing on TV, Archie remained fixated on his ultimate goal – breaking into the music business.
Amidst this, Archie delved into the world of TikTok, amassing a substantial following. However, the rise to fame came with its challenges, including facing online abuse and street attacks. Yet, music became Archie’s refuge during challenging times, leading to prolific songwriting and recording sessions that shaped his unique sound.
Archie’s musical journey takes a nuanced turn with his belief that all music is valid, transcending subjective judgments. While embracing the positives of social media, he grapples with its impact on authenticity and longs for a return to an era where music spoke for itself. As a classically trained musician from Scotland, Archie’s debut release, ‘Everything She Does Is Beautiful,’ showcased his lyrical prowess. Collaborations with renowned producers like Jay Weathers and Bernie Barnicott further defined his sound, evolving through releases like ‘Burning Out’ and ‘Mayalyn.’ His versatility shines through collaborations with legendary producer Jake Gosling; and with Goddard with who wrote and sang Drum & Bass track ‘Nicotine’, now hitting 11 million Spotify streams.
