Nigerian-British singer-songwriter Azul Kechi returns with the intoxicating new single ‘Temporary Love’, the third single to be released from her hotly anticipated upcoming debut album ‘Celestial Love’. Following the success of ‘Highs & Lows’ and ‘Fool Me Once’ which saw her gain support from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music, Clout, BBC Radio London and Jazz FM (Station Playlist: B-List), Azul Kechi once again showcases her unique, fresh and breezy sound.
Blending organic instrumentation with a bright and modern R&B-soul-pop tendencies, Azul Kechi manages to captures a striking authenticity. The new single ‘Temporary Love’ is a prime example of this musical approach, showcasing her smokey, silky vocal tone, charismatic flair, and Amy Winehouse-esque swagger over a tight backdrop of live instrumentation.
Talking about the track, Azul explains: “Temporary Love was written during lockdown and reflects Azul’s feelings in metaphors of uncertainty and change with the surrounding environment when everything felt temporary”
Influenced by the likes of Betty Davis and Lauryn Hill, Azuls music heavily draws from life experiences as a person who feels different and is navigating the world coming into their own. Rich and soulful, Azul’s sound has already gained her a whole host of avid supporters.
Gradually gearing up for the release of her debut album ‘Celestial Love’, Azul has already gained support from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music, Jazz FM, BBC Radio London, Amazing Radio and a whole host of Spotify Editoral playlists (New Music Fridays, Fresh Finds UK & IE, Chill Rnb 2022 among others) as well as glowing write ups in Clout and Conversations About Her among others. Continuing to build on the growing hype surrounding the project, Azul Kechi’s new single ‘Temporary Love’ is due for release April 28th.
