Today, beathau5 releases their first digital blockchain collection in collaboration with British contemporary artist Chemical X titled “vitamin5.” The collection includes five separate pieces which will be auctioned one after the other in a 1/1 auction style. Each piece will be accompanied by a physical print signed by Chemical X.

beathau5 and Chemical X’s digital art uses NFT (non-fungible token) technology. NFT’s trade on the blockchain, ensuring that each piece is 100% verifiable as authentic. Blockchain technology allows collectors to buy and sell digital beathau5 art on marketplaces such as Foundation.

Joel Zimmerman, more popularly known as the pioneering artist Deadmau5, has launched Beathau5, an electronic dance music label specializing in providing music exclusively to license to for film, television, advertising and digital media. Beathau5 is a collaboration between Zimmerman’s Mau5trap label and Extreme Music in a deal brokered by UTA.
The beathau5 label takes an authentic dive deep into the electronic genre with each album being personally compiled by deadmau5 with the first five releases now available to license exclusively at extrememusic.com.
Unrelated to the music being geared toward screens, each album release will have its own NFT created in collaboration with an established visual artist as a collectible item. These pieces include music from James Saaib, Al Wilkinson, and Dash Cat.
Beathau5 is the latest diversifying venture for the multiple-Grammy nominated and Juno-winning Zimmerman. He launched Hau5trap, a record label geared toward house music, in early 2020. Last month, Zimmerman started PIXELYNX, a technology company at the intersection of digital collectibles, gaming and virtual worlds, alongside another pioneering Canadian electronic artist, Richie Hawtin, aka Plastikman, and their management teams. On Halloween weekend Zimmerman brings back his Day of the Deadmau5 three-day event in Miami.

About Chemical X:
Chemical X is a British contemporary artist who keeps his true identity hidden. His work has never been exhibited in a gallery and does not appear on the secondary market but is regularly collected for prices in excess of $100k.
