Berlin-based, Vietnamese-German singer-songwriter ‘ANOTHER NGUYEN’ releases her highly anticipated single ‘Different’ A blossoming electro-pop sensation, ANOTHER NGUYEN’s (Ngoc Anh Nguyen) music is built upon her search for identity, and embracement of individuality.
Captivating her audiences with empowering electronic-pop fusions, Nguyen utilises her dynamic, yet delicate vocals to transport listeners into a spectrum of emotions, prompting them to find their place and voice within an ever-changing world. Her discography is known for its swelling bass tones, hypnotic drum grooves and flickering synths, her lyrics often calling for personal introspection, and her energetic performances leaving her audience feeling understood, uplifted and inspired.
‘Different’ encapsulates this sound. Inspired by her encounter with someone she met on-set (for a video shoot)”, ANOTHER NGUYEN says that the song ruminates on the pair’s instant attraction to one another. However, despite the two’s chemistry, both were in relationships. The songwriter said it was this feeling of connection that evoked the imagination of what things would be like with the other person. She continued: “[…]. It was interesting to experience that it’s very possible to feel a connection to someone else even if you do love your partner and you’re committed to them”
Written with her co-writer Darius Karrenberg, the song was conjured up during the summer of 2022, with the singer taking the acoustic demo to her producer Ylva Brandtsegg (Adam Audio Ambassador), the pair quickly transformed the song into the finalised upbeat pop track it is today.
With radio plays on Radio Eins and Fritz Unsigned, and strong support through streaming platforms, ANOTHER NGUYEN’s fanbase is fastly growing. With the release of her single ‘Different’, and upcoming live dates all across Berlin, the singer-songwriter looks to capitalise on her blossoming success, as she aims to bring her own brand of electropop to the masses.
