Berlin queer and FLINTA*-focussed label SEVEN releases second compilation

Berlin-based queer and FLINTA* leaning label SEVEN presents its second compilation, inviting seven new acts to the catalogue, hosting Zombies in MiamiByron YeatesMohajer1morningPink Concrete, and Najeh, as well as the production debut of Carmen Electro. The release arrives 29th August 2025 on digital, vinyl, and cassette, and follows the label’s debut compilation earlier this year, featuring artists like Sol OrtegaRetromigrationAckerman, as well as the label’s own Posture.

Kicking off the VA, in-demand Mexican duo and Creatures of the Night label bosses Zombies in Miami deliver ‘Unknown Pleasures’ , a nod to the golden era of Tech House. Deep dub chords and crisp drums form the foundation, while spacious reverb and delays create a lush, interstellar feel. Carmen Electro, a celebrated DJ making her production debut, dedicates ‘Viviane’ to her best friend. The track blends percussive Techno with Latin flair, with driving percussion, distorted bass, and warm piano chords and vocals combining for an emotional, uplifting moment.

Mohajer, a Fast Forward affiliate and co-founder of Berlin’s queer party MP3, brings a stripped-back House banger with ‘Pause’. Minimal in design but rich in detail, it’s packed with snappy drums and smart rhythmic shifts to keep dancers hooked. From Los Angeles, Character and Fixed Rhythms artist 1morning channels old-school funk with ‘Like a Funk Machine’ , fusing syncopated grooves, crunchy low-end, and playful flourishes while organs, pianos, shakers, and quirky synths all ride the rhythm.

Byron Yeates, Berlin-based DJ and Radiant Love founder, contributes ‘Aetherius (Deep Zone Mix)’. It’s a deep, Minimal-leaning House cut reflecting his signature blend of euphoric Trance and queer rave sensibilities. From Istanbul, hereandthere party regular Pink Concrete blends industrial and vibrant sounds on ‘Have You Ever Played Bounce’. It’s a spacious, dubbed-out Techno piece with soft hues and emotional warmth, perfect for sunsets and sunrises alike.

Wrapping up the release is Najeh, a resident of Hamburg’s beloved Café Soda Crue. His track ‘Workout’ nods to late-’90s and early-’00s, offering a bouncy, stripped-down groove with a tight low-end, vocal chops, and nimble hi-hat variations built for peak-time floors and closing out a varied compilation package that continues SEVEN’s streak of must-have Techno and House releases.

Launched in 2024 by Berlin artist CRYME, Berlin imprint SEVEN has quickly evolved into more than just a label – it’s a global movement, connecting dots across cities and cultures. With a queer and FLINTA-leaning ethos at the core, SEVEN continues to carve out a unique space at the intersection of house and techno. From championing underrepresented voices to pushing genre-defying sounds that strike right at the heart of the dance floor, SEVEN stands out as one of the most vital new forces in the global underground.
