Pioneers of electronic music, Booka Shade, make a quick return to their Blaufield Music imprint with an exciting new collaboration. Following the recent release of their ‘P.I.N. 4 / Real Love’ EP, the pair breathe new life into the opening track by reimagining it with an evocative vocal performance from in-demand artist and longtime friend, JOPYLN. The collaboration marks a continuation of the trio’s artistic synergy, which began with the 2020 track ‘Polar Lights’ from Booka Shade’s album, ‘Dear Future Self’. Since then, JOPLYN, named one of Pete Tong’s Future Stars of 2022, has made a notable impact in the electronic landscape with performances from Coachella to Hï Ibiza – remixing the duo’s tracks ‘Pray’ (2021) and ‘Blaze’ (2023), while the Blaufield bosses have also returned the favour with a remix of her hit ‘Remind Me’ in 2022.
‘Right Now (P.I.N. 4)’ channels the original’s raw energy while infusing JOPLYN’s signature blend of hypnotic lyricism and dynamic melodies. Building on the muscular basslines and foreboding synth lines, the track evolves into a powerful fusion of electronic elements, amplified by JOPLYN’s soaring vocal presence. The result is a thrilling interpretation that promises to captivate new listeners and longtime fans of the iconic Booka Shade sound as the pair continue bringing fresh ideas and unique collaborations to the forefront while staying rooted in their storied history.
