Following months of carefully unveiled reinterpretations from across the electronic spectrum, legendary German duo Booka Shade now consolidate the journey with the full ‘For Real’ remix collection on Blaufield Music. The eleven-track package gathers together previously released remixes from Paul Kalkbrenner, Pig&Dan, Sainte Vie, Helsloot, Chris Luno, Chi Thanh, Leena Punks, Casper Cole, Talal, Fynn Braun, and Sentre, while introducing two brand-new interpretations to complete the project.
Heading up the new material is the YARUBA remix of ‘Your Command’, with Booka Shade stepping into their own club-focused alter ego. Representing the more driving side of the duo, and channeling the raw energy of peak-time floors, ‘Your Command’ is reshaped into a hypnotic, late-night trip. Darker in tone and more direct in execution, the remix underlines the duality of their sound. Also new to the collection is Balta’s remix of ‘(Neon Lights) They Glow’, with the young Avignon-based producer – known for his groove-led house sound – delivering a fluid rework that infuses the original with movement and a more menacing edge.
Tracing the album’s extended life through a carefully curated series of reworks, from expansive melodic reinterpretations to tougher, club-driven cuts, highlighting both established heavyweights and rising names, this collection of reworks punctuates the ‘For Real’ era with a final statement – with the iconic duo once again showcasing their pedigree as one of electronic music’s most revered acts.
