Bristol Rockers Twin City return with the electrifying new single ‘Solid Gold’.
Comprising of Welsh brothers Louis (Vocals/Guitar) and Toby Ellis (Drums), along with Conor Feeney (Bass) and Pete Refson (Guitars), Twin City have built a reputation as an exciting up and coming band on the Uk live scene. Once again showcasing their Indie-come-Rock & Roll sensibilities, produced and mixed by Tom Smith (Holy Youth Movement, The Pleasure Dome) and mastered by James Trevascus (Invada Studios, Bristol), ‘Solid Gold’ acts as a statement of intent from the band, unapologetically delivering a high-octane, infectious soundscape that captures the same sense of energy as the bands live shows.
Led by a wall of thick distorted guitars, the track’s tight drums and grounding bass create a punchy, intense musical backdrop for the snarling, urgent and yet still reassuringly melodic lead vocals. Progressing through the punching verse, the track grows into its explosive chorus as the band exercise their ability to write catchy hooks.
Speaking on the track the band explain: “Solid Gold is a no-nonsense rock n roll tune with a message of positivity and self belief. We all shine brighter when we’re free to be ourselves, so the song is about being who you are unapologetically and doing what you want with your life.”
Following an explosive debut, amassing over 10,000 views on YouTube within its first week and gaining BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio as well as across US and UK radio.
Having sold out a number of headline shows and opened for the likes of The Lathums to a sold-out crowd of 1000 at Bristol’s Trinity Centre as well as The Royston Club, The K’s, The Coral, Bilk, The Lightning Seeds, and Gallus. The band also appeared at Isle of Wight Festival 2023, solidifying their place as one to watch.
