BRONSON today release the third and final phase of remixes for their critically acclaimed, self-titled album debut on Ninja Tune/Foreign Family Collective. Titled ‘Remixes Nº3’, the collection closes out a vast and diverse collection of underground interpretations of the original project by USA heavyweights Harrison Mills & Clayton Knight (of ODESZA) and artist Tom Stell (of Golden Features). In line with the preceding installments, ‘Remixes No.3’ embodies the mélange of innovative, leftfield electronic stylings that inspired the BRONSON sound, while it simultaneously infuses new energy into the original works, as producers TSHA, Riton, Krystal Klear, Eats Everything and Set Mo add their perspectives to the project.
Listen to ‘Remixes Nº3’
‘Remixes No.3’ commences with Set Mo’s rendition of “HEART ATTACK,” where the duo emphasize the single’s emotive nature with a heightened tempo and soft harmonies, complementing lau.ra’s vocals. Krystal Klear provides another interpretation of “HEART ATTACK”, presenting a take that features futuristic soundscapes with hypnotic arpeggiation and off-kilter melodic arrangement. Riton’s reconstruction of “KEEP MOVING,” accentuates the dark undertones of the original, stressing the industrial, tense sonics.
Breakbeat thrives in ‘Remixes No.3.’ In Eats Everything’s recast of “DAWN,” listeners are greeted with gritty synth work and dynamic instrumentation which evoke a classic rave feel. Lastly, BBC “Future Artist” TSHA rebuilds “KNOW ME” on an acid-tinged foundation with lo-fi filtering, which embraces the inherent nostalgia of the track—balancing the package in voguish form.
BRONSON’s namesake LP released to high praise in July, earning wide support from fans and electronic music tastemakers like John Digweed, Pete Tong, Zane Lowe, and Anja Schneider, reaching upwards of 66 million streams in just months following its release. ‘BRONSON’ additionally claimed the third and fifth spots on Billboard’s Heatseekers and Top Dance/Electronic Album charts.
On April 3, BRONSON will make their BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix debut. The unmissable two-hour mix will broadcast from midnight to 2am for the BBC’s prestigious series.
With the likes of Skream, Patrick Topping, Prospa, HAAi, TSHA, Riton, and more adding their unique touch ‘BRONSON’ over time, it’s safe to say the outfit have compiled a timeless collection of originals and re-works that bring the energy while standing the test of time.
