Singer-songwriter Caleb Kenner has captivated country music fans with the release of his debut single, Back Then – November 2024. A heartfelt ode to his roots in Hebron, Nebraska, the track combines a modern pop-country sound with a compelling story of family, mischief, and the lessons that shaped his life.
Drawing inspiration from country icons like Morgan Wallen, Nate Smith, and HARDY, Back Then brings together rich instrumentation—featuring steel guitar, acoustic and electric guitars, trap beats, and bass—with Caleb’s authentic storytelling. From the carefree days of rule-bending to the grounding influence of his uncle Kevin and grandpa Roger, this single offers listeners a vivid glimpse into Caleb’s upbringing in a small, tight-knit town of just 1,300 people.
“Back Then takes me back to me as a kid causin’ a little bit of trouble,” Caleb shares. “But it also honours the people who kept me grounded and shares my memories with them. I think it’s a song that will speak to a lot of listeners and take them back to their own childhood.”
Produced with a vibrant mix of traditional country and modern pop influences, the track marks Caleb’s first foray into music since discovering his passion in 2021. From a Christmas gift guitar to writing songs inspired by his family, Caleb has carved a unique path as a devoted husband, father, and storyteller.
With plans to promote Back Then through live shows, radio features, and press campaigns, Caleb is eager to share his music with fans. Live performances are already slated for January and June 2025, where audiences can expect his signature blend of heartfelt storytelling and memorable melodies.
