Live @ Omeara London 30th March
Rising star Cassa Jackson has just announced a brand new release with the arrival of ‘Sophie’, out this March and will headline a special show at Omeara London on 30th March 2022.
The song takes on a fluid dynamic, a polished end result captured perfectly by Cassa’s emotive vocal delivery and her distinctive brand of slick, intimate pop. She says: “Writing this song was like therapy for me. It’s very special to me as it’s so personal and it really helped me make something good out of a bad situation. We’ve all had a ‘Sophie’ in our lives and I hope this song helps people.”
Bio:
Vocal powerhouse Cassa Jackson, is your go-to singer-songwriter for relatable, sassy songs about relationships. She has over 7 million streams on Spotify alone, over 165,000 followers on TikTok and her recent success led to her supporting JLS on their Beat Again reunion tour at major arenas all over the UK in October and November 2021, including 4 nights at the 02 arena. Cassa has been nominated for an iHeart Radio Award for ‘TikTok Songwriter of the Year’ and is flying to LA for the award ceremony in March. This is just before her first ever Headline Show at the prestigious ‘Omeara’ in London where she will perform the new single for the first time.
Her latest EP ‘I Don’t Like It When You Talk About Her’ was the perfect remedy for a breakup. Now Cassa is back with a new single ‘Sophie’. Cassa teased this new song on the iHeart Radio Tik Tok channel for her TikTok takeover, which had a great reception with many girls relating to the song. Sophie is a sassy song about what happens after a relationship ends, betrayal of friendships and how that can colour your view of what happened during the relationship. This song could be also interpreted as a song about infidelity and the pain that causes.
Taking inspiration from artists such as Miley Cyrus, Halsey and Dua Lipa, Cassa adds a modern pop twist and autobiographical lyrics to provide a unique soulful sound. Cassa is the ultimate storyteller and her songs detail the highs and lows of young love. She is proof that strength is born out of vulnerability.
Cassa performed live on CBBC’s Saturday Mashup and had a Sky TV hour-long solo feature on ‘At Home With Hayley’. She is signed to Marshall Arts Booking agency and is set to play festivals across the UK this summer including ‘Isle of Wight Festival’ and ‘Mello Festival’. Cassa is jet set and is heading to South Africa in April for more festivals including the Pink Loerie Foundation Event. She has supported high profile artists such as Jocelyn Brown. She supported The Jacksons on their 50th anniversary tour in Spain and is set to support the legend that is Lionel Richie. Cassa is fluent in French and Spanish after having studied Modern Languages at Bristol University, where she was awarded a First Class Honours. Two of her tracks from her debut EP ‘He’s No You’ feature in season 2 of the CW’s hit sci-fi television series ‘Pandora’ where Cassa also features as a special guest.
Cassa has had huge radio support, recording BBC interviews in almost every city she visited on the JLS tour, including an interview with Carrie and David Grant on BBC London. She has also received huge support from Melita Dennet at BBC Introducing in the South and six of her songs have been picked as ‘Track of the Day’ on BBC Radio Surrey and BBC Radio Sussex (along with many others making the playlist). Talk Radio featured her songs and she was interviewed and performed live on the James Whale Show. Cassa has also been ‘House Artist of the Week’ on BBC Radio Bristol and recorded a ‘White Room Studio’ live session there.
Cassa is currently working towards her debut album. She plans to release another new single ‘I’m Okay Until I Think’ before her upcoming Headline Tour in May.
