It’s been over a year since the death of the iconic music legend David Bowie passed away from cancer, but the world is still mourning the loss of the talented artist. In order to commemorate the artist, Royal Mail has made tribute stars that celebrate his years of fame.
Many of his album covers are now available in stamp form, including Aladdin Sane, Hunky Dory, Earthling, and his final album Blackstar.
Philip Parker of the Royal Mail commented on the series:
“For five decades David Bowie was at the forefront of contemporary culture, and has influenced successive generations of musicians, artists, designers and writers. Royal Mail’s stamp issue celebrates this unique figure and some of his many celebrated personas.”
