Partnering up with the Welsh musician for one of several unique collaborations on her debut record, ‘Seventeen Again’ details the songwriter’s first ever trip to the UK and the feeling of not wanting to leave.

“I’d been listening to Novo Amor for a while and was a huge fan when he reached out over Instagram back in 2019. I was spending some time in London shooting a video and he invited me out to his home studio in Wales to work on some music. Ali is ridiculously talented and we had a lot of fun creating this song”, reveals the Alabama native.

“We spent the week making ‘Seventeen Again’ and exploring Cardiff. I remember feeling the way that I did when I left home for the first time at seventeen and moved to Nashville, and that was the inspiration behind the song. It’s definitely not in my nature to stay in one place for too long and I find myself fantasizing about moving away far too often. The song follows my familiar thought process of walking around a foreign city imagining what it would be like to never go home.”

Riding an impressive wave of momentum with acclaim from the likes of NPR, Billboard, The FADER, The Line Of Best Fit and Dork, not to mention encouraging comparisons to contemporaries Phoebe Bridgers, Beabadoobee and Girl In Red, the cultured newcomer is certainly displaying ample potential, with her latest imaginative effort showcasing further aspects of her songwriting.

Having ticked off thrilling collaborations with Ruston Kelly and Nightly in recent months, the Nashville-based musician continues to intensify excitement levels for debut album ‘Bullseye’ (arriving July 16th), and with further reveals lined up, Adams’ stature is only set to head one way.

Charli Adams’ ‘Seventeen Again’ (feat. Novo Amor), mixed by Patrick Dillett (St. Vincent, Sufjan Stevens), is out June 23rd via Color Study (Haux, Lav, Rosie Carney) and will be available on all digital platforms.
