Adding to his emergence amongst Brazil’s stacked list of exciting new names, Rio de Janeiro’s bewav continues to build his growing sound while racking up support from some of the biggest names, from Michael Bibi and The Martinez Brothers to Green Velvet and Cloonee. Returning to the latter’s Hellbent Records for his second EP on the label following the release of his ‘Baila Co,’ EP in the summer of ‘22, the Brazilian DJ/producer comes loaded with two heavy tracks and a hatful of collaborators as he drops his ‘HAHAHA’ EP.
Driving and bubbly, with a playful, hooky vocal at its core, the lively ‘HAHAHA’ is a commanding lead cut as rolling percussion carries the production forward as he links with MC Menor and Stizi, while ‘Maluquice’ sees fellow Hellbent signee Brisotti join proceedings as the pair combine trippy vocal murmurs and chants with punchy kicks heavy-hitting low-ends to close the show.
