To celebrate the festival season, the mix is littered with tracks spun on her recent sets at Glastonbury and Wireless. She’s also due to DJ at the Liverpool International Music Festival on July 31st.

Arriving just in time for summer, this fresh Cuppy mix plays out like the ultimate festival lineup, blending party classics with some of the biggest hits and undeniable summer jams of the past year. Touching on everything from dance music to Afrobeats, it features tracks from the likes of DrakeSam FeldtPost Malone, Burna BoyFireboy DML and Dave, as well as exclusive shout-outs from Stefflon DonRemaCkayBNXN, and more. It follows on from her ‘Party in the Jungle’ mix, released earlier this year.

DJ, producer, philanthropist and now BBC Radio 1Xtra radio host, Cuppy has quickly risen through the ranks to become a supreme lead role as a global pan-African tastemaker. With her loveable personality and undeniable work ethic, she’s embarked on a number of projects, including being part of the cast for Channel 4’s Highlife – a docu-reality series following the lives and loves of a group of ambitious, glamorous, young British West Africans who are all chasing their own idea of success.

In 2020, she launched ‘African Now’Apple Music’s first ever radio show dedicated to Afrobeats, showcasing Africa’s latest sounds, from Amapiano to highlife, to house and kuduro, every Sunday. In the August of that same year, she released her debut album Original Copy, seeing her take the vocal reins on themes that range from independence to love lost and African pride over a trap-meets-afrobeats sonic bed that she calls ‘neo-afrobeats’.

Cuppy kicked off 2022 by revealing herself as the brand-new host of the BBC Radio 1Xtra ‘Sunday Breakfast’ show, every week from 7am-11am, succeeding radio and TV presenter Remi Burgz.

One of the hardest working and most multi-talented artists in the game, ‘Festival Mix ‘22’ offers an insight into the vibrant tastes of Cuppy.
