Manchester born & raised singer-songwriter Dan Fable takes us on a heartbreaking journey for his first Guestlist Records single ‘One Punch Tommy’, lifted from the upcoming debut EP due in 2023.
Produced by James Earp (Lewis Capaldi, Gryffin, Bipolar Sunshine), Fable explains: “It’s a story of a lost young man who did something daft driven by ego which he paid for with his life. The song is a statement reflecting ‘ego of men’ and how it can be damaging”.
Dan Fable – the name says a lot. Dan tells his stories in songs. A teenage Eminem fan who’s circumstances changed, was forced to pick up an acoustic guitar and learn to write the beautifully crafted and poignant songs he writes today. Dan’s compulsive songwriting has spread to other artists too; recently he has co-written and appeared alongside Venbee for her track ‘Lowdown’, as well as co-writing her top 10 hit ‘Messy In Heaven’. It’s clear to see songwriting is Dan’s therapy and it encompasses his life. Dan personifies the modern songwriter; not constrained by genre or fashion and is set to become a huge musical legacy. Expect to hear a lot more from Dan and his solo music as well as songs he’ll co-write and collaborate on.
