Dirtybird is taking a listen back to some of the finest, deep gems from across the label catalog with the release of ‘Deep Cutz’, the 14 track compilation out now.

After 17 years of releasing music, Dirtybird Records has put out an extensive range of genres and styles, including creating some of their own. While they can often be known for peak time bangers, the label shares an appreciation and love for the deeper side of music, which were selected from the catalog for “Deep Cutz”.
Setting the tone for the compilation is the seminal Claude VonStroke track dedicated to his wife and partner, “Aundy”, which was originally released in 2009 and closed out Fabric 46, the famed London based mix series. Next up is Sacha Robotti’s ‘Melato Nina” from 2017, which marked his first solo EP release on the label, filled with haunting synth melodies and the subdued vocals of Tauon.
The next track comes from London producer Julio Bashmore, ‘World Peace’, taken from the 2009 ‘Julio Bashmore EP’, his debut release with Dirtybird. Justin Jay’s beautifully produced ‘Waves’ moves us along smoothly with his shining productions followed by Tom Flynn and Amp Fidlar’s piano house cut ‘The Future’.
Up next is ‘XXX’ by Kill Frenzy feat. Astrid bringing in a smooth bassline and NSFW vocals from their 2014 collaboration. GoldFFinch’s Caribbean inspired ‘Sultry Steel’ is followed by Steve Darko’s ‘Closure’, a more recent release reflective of the dark times the world experienced in 2021. German producer SPQH’s ‘State of Mind’ keeps things moving ominously, blurring the lines between house and techno.
Pezzner’s moody and haunting single ‘The Hand That Feeds You’ from his 2016 debut release on the label leads into Brazilian artist Scavazza’s ‘Shake Your Hearts’, a beautiful and somber melody to get lost in. Rounding things out is Robot Love’s emotional ‘What I Lived For’ and brand new track ‘a conversation’ by Dirtybird fresh face dernis. Itzone’s ‘Azul Magico’ closes out the compilation with its warm and groovy atmosphere taking us back to 2009.
