Multi-hyphenate DJ, producer, and acclaimed photographer DJ E-Clyps has partnered up with Bay Area powerhouse EMPIRE Dance to launch his new label, Blacklight Factory. Today, Blacklight Factory released its debut single with EMPIRE Dance, “Cuzido,” from DJ E-Clyps and vocalist Anya V.

“Cuzido” is a sign of what’s to come on Blacklight. It’s heavy on the low end, features a slinky, sexy R&B-infused vocal, and a tempo that skits between house and hip-hop influences. The track has already been earning support from tastemakers like Blessed Madonna and BBC Radio’s DJ Spoony.
“Cuzido” is the sort of genre-blending that DJ E-Clyps has become known for in a career that started in hip-hop before transitioning to house and has seen him release on virtually every major dance label, including Cajual, Relief, Toolroom, DIRTYBIRD, Nervous, and Ultra. In addition to his musical output, DJ E-Clyps has emerged as a prominent activist and photographer whose work has been featured in Time Magazine and New York Magazine as well as exhibited in galleries across the country.

Under the terms of the partnership, EMPIRE Dance will provide distribution and label services to Blacklight Factory.
