Doja Cat drops intergalactic official video for ‘Get Into It (Yuh)’

Pop superstar Doja Cat has unveiled the official video for her track ‘Get Into It (Yuh)’, out now.

Drawing inspiration from the retro-sci-fi aesthetic of Star Trek, the official video for ‘Get Into It (Yuh)’ centres around Doja’s quest to save the day as commander-and-chief of an intergalactic spaceship.

Initially released as part of her Gold-certified Planet Her LP, the track has already amassed a whopping 246 million Spotify streams, and comes hot on the heels of her recent Brit Award nomination in the category of ‘International Song of the Year’.

Her first release of the new year, it follows a life-affirming 2021 for Doja, who received no fewer than eight Grammy nominations. Released earlier this year, Planet Her was met with global critical acclaim and helped her become the most monthly streamed artist in the world on Spotify. All of the tracks on the LP entered the ‘Top 200’ on the platform in the UK, with lead single ‘Kiss Me More’ going platinum.

Starting out in 2013, the LA native began cultivating an organic online fanbase, posting her first track at just 16-years-old and eventually building a large following via her Soundcloud page. This digital fan-base helped Doja reach the masses, capturing the internet’s attention with every release.

Fast forward seven years and in 2020 she took home the ‘Best New Artist’ award at the MTV VMAs, the MTV EMAs and the AMAs (where she additionally won the ‘Best Female Soul/R&B Artist’ award). She has also been nominated for three Grammys, four American Music Awards, four MTV VMA Awards, two BET Awards and two People’s Choice Awards.

Doja Cat kicks off 2022 with the same energy that has helped her become one of the world’s biggest pop acts in recent years.
