Don’t Wake the Neighbours are a 7 piece band who play original rock music with influences from all across the musical spectrum. If you like bands like The Hives, Arctic Monkeys, and Maneskin, then you’ll love Don’t Wake the Neighbours. Their catchy hooks and harmonies mixed with raucous guitars and pounding drums create a kind of perfect chaos that can only be described as great music. Don’t Wake the Neighbours are sure to get you (and the neighbours) jumping.
Jenny wrote ‘My Place in the Sun’ many years ago on her parent’s piano, many years later, it became the first track Don’t Wake the Neighbours ever played together. Jenny digs into the creative process behind the track describing how “Three years after first playing it, we decided to record it for the album. We spent time perfecting the arrangement, the solo, and the harmonies then took the track to the studio. We recorded each instrument individually, starting with drums, then bass then guitars, and finally lead and backing vocals. We reviewed the mixes until we were completely satisfied and here we are!” The track hits hard, and with its fusion of influences and an incredible guitar solo, the band have fused something uniquely their own. They’re ready to make an impression.
‘My Place in the Sun’ is about longing to belong somewhere, accompanied by a raucous, pulsing instrumental that represents the duality of existing and longing to exist elsewhere, it will pull you in from the moment you hit play.
‘My Place in the Sun’ will be released on July 7th!
