Dublin-based artist Presh is back with a new single, This Feeling, out May 16th. It’s a quietly powerful track — soulful, stripped back, and emotionally direct — rooted in the real-life experiences, an important quality throughout Presh’s music.
Blending Afrobeat elements with subtle touches of pop and R&B, This Feeling captures what it’s like to feel overwhelmed with emotion, disconnected from the self, and unsure where to turn. It was written during a time when Presh was dealing with depression and social media burnout — ‘doomscrolling’, comparing himself to curated versions of other people’s lives, while feeling alone in his own.
“I actually wrote This Feeling a few years ago from a place of deep honesty,” he says. “I had thousands of followers online, but no one to call when I was breaking down. This song came from that space — feeling isolated and needing to let it out somehow.”
The track was produced by Victor Ezekiel, Folusho Ajala, and Presh himself. There’s no overproduction here – just warm keys, steady percussion, and a vocal that feels like it’s telling you something real. Like much of Presh’s music, it’s not trying to be flashy. It’s just honest.
Originally from Nigeria and now living in Dublin, Presh is known for bringing music straight to people – whether on streaming platforms or out on the street. A regular on Grafton Street, he’s built a steady following through open-hearted live sets and songs that speak to the tougher parts of everyday life.
Following previous releases like This Year and Voices, This Feeling continues that thread – not trend chasing, just focusing on the truth as he sees it.
