After the overwhelming success of El Payo’s debut EP ‘Enchanted Meditation’ back in 2021 with heavy support from Gilles Peterson, Atjazz, Laurent Garnier, Jamz Supernova, Rainer Truby, Nicola Conte, Bandcamp and more it was time for El Payo to sit back in his studio and create his debut album.
With Kid Fonque joining as executive producer, connecting the South African Soul & Jazz scene to El Payo’s production skills the results are outstanding. Teaming up with a full list of South African features including Sio, Ziyon, EMAMKAY & Bokang Ramatlapeng, this debut album is a beautiful masterpiece of forward thinking jazz from a small town in South Africa.
