Liverpool-based soul-pop artist Eleanor unveils her long-awaited EP There’s no quiet, there’s little relief on 16th May—a genre-bending exploration of emotional firsts, featuring blues, funk, folk, and jazz infusions with a sound that cuts deep – As seen in the Luxembourg Times.
From moody ballads to cinematic builds, this five-track collection pulses with raw honesty, mirroring the personal evolution that shaped it:
“This EP is a culmination of my experiences from 16 to 21,” says Eleanor. “It’s taken 10 years to bring to life and has followed me through so many versions of myself. It’s dramatic, messy, and self-involved—in the best way. But it’s also been healing. I can finally let it breathe in the world and close that chapter without letting it go.”
Reflecting her blues and classical roots while embracing the polish of modern pop, the project balances intimacy with grandiosity—lush string arrangements, unusual instrumentation, and bold production shifts threaded together by Eleanor’s emotional lyricism and distinctive vocal phrasing. From the brooding tension of Cold Day in Hell to the cinematic sweep of Prey, the EP leans into heartbreak, infatuation, betrayal and the chaotic theatre of young love.
“It’s everything I couldn’t say out loud at the time,” she adds, “so I let the music speak for me.”
Produced by Ben Lowe, James Wyatt (Sloeflower Studio), Matt Humphries, and Dave Ormsby, with contributions from Jennifer Morgan, Rachael Langtree, Danny Miller, and more, this EP is rich in texture and collaboration. Mastered by Morten Lund, the final result is both sprawling and focused—an emotional archive made from strong musical abilities and intimate reflection.

FULL QUOTE ABOUT THE EP:
“This EP is a culmination of my experiences from 16-21. It’s been a total of 10 years to make from start to finish and has gone through many iterations as I’ve grown and changed. Stylistically this EP explores so many variations as I was finding out what I like and how i relate through my music. You can hear my blues and classical background but also the modern pop peeks through. It’s a melting pot of stuff so the fact that it was handled by 3 producers means you sort of get 3 ears across the project. I’ve had so much fun including the craziest sounds and instruments onto it, it’s been rife with childlike fulfilment.
Being able to finally put this body of work out genuinely means everything because it shaped so much of who I am now. What I’ve learnt from and healed from, now it’s going to live and breathe in the world… I feel like I can close this chapter without leaving it behind. ” – ELEANOR
